What the request form does

The form uses the details you enter to prepare a WhatsApp or email draft in your browser. It does not submit those details to a David Explora website database. David receives your inquiry only when you send the message through WhatsApp, or email him directly. Please do not include passport details, payment card information or other sensitive documents in an initial inquiry.

How inquiry details are used

When you contact David, he uses your contact details, selected itinerary, optional budget, travel preferences, starting location, dates and date flexibility to respond, discuss arrangements and prepare a quote. If you proceed with a trip, he may need additional information and may share relevant details with the guides, accommodation or transport providers involved. Ask what information is needed before sending sensitive documents.

Third-party services

WhatsApp, email providers, social platforms and the website host process information under their own policies. Opening WhatsApp transfers the prepared message to that service, including the details you chose to provide. Website hosting may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs to serve and secure the site.

Browser storage and live chat

The planner and inquiry form do not store your entered personal details in browser storage. If you save a tour, its catalogue ID is stored in this browser’s local storage so your shortlist is available on your next visit. Saved article IDs are also stored locally when you use the journal’s reading list. These lists are not sent to David or a public profile. Remove a tour or guide with its Saved button, or clear this website’s browser data to erase both lists. If storage is blocked, saving lasts only for the current visit. Live chat uses the separate service described below. No separate advertising or marketing analytics service has been added. Destination films are served by this website; opening social links uses the selected platform. Hosting and third-party services may have their own technical logging.

Live chat with David

The chat widget is provided by tawk.to. It lets David see active visitor sessions and respond to messages. When the widget loads, tawk.to may process your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited and session activity. It may use cookies or browser storage to maintain the chat session, subject to the widget’s consent settings.

If you choose to chat, tawk.to processes and stores your messages and any contact details you provide so David can respond to your enquiry. The website does not automatically copy details from the trip planner or individual travel support forms into chat. Please keep payment card details, passwords, passport copies and medical records out of chat.

See tawk.to’s privacy policy for its data handling and privacy options. You can also contact David through the WhatsApp and email links. Ask David if you want to discuss, correct or delete information you have shared in a conversation.

Education partnership enquiries

The education page opens a WhatsApp or email draft for a partnership conversation. It does not collect donations, create a subscriber list or request student records. Please keep students’ names, photographs and private information out of an initial enquiry.

Your choices

You can stop before sending a prepared message. You can also contact David to ask about the inquiry information he holds, request a correction or request deletion. Information needed for a confirmed trip, accounting or applicable legal obligations may need to be retained; David will explain when that applies.

Voluntary support enquiries and payment requests

The English and Spanish support forms prepare a message locally in your browser. You choose which functional assistance details to include and review the draft before sending it through WhatsApp or your email app. The website does not upload or store these form details. Do not submit diagnoses, medical records, passport copies, card numbers, CVVs, PINs or banking passwords.

If you send the message, David receives the information through the service you chose. Those services process it under their own privacy terms. Support details are used to discuss your itinerary; agree which practical requirements may be shared with an accommodation, transport or guiding provider before arrangements are made.

The payment-request form only prepares a request for verified instructions using your quote reference. It does not collect card details or take payment. Any future card payment link uses the approved provider’s checkout and privacy terms.

The welcome prompt uses session-only display and dismissal flags on this browser. It contains no personal information and is not used for advertising or tracking.
